Job Description Job Description Top Job Located in champaign, IL Salary: $27-$32 Staff Accountant Location: On-site / In-office Job Type: Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to serve as a key liaison between the Sales and Accounting teams. This role is responsible for reconciling, closing out, and preparing financial summaries for construction projects serving restaurant customers nationwide. The ideal candidate is an accounting generalist with experience in both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, preferably within construction or distribution environments. Key Responsibilities Maintain and update Project Boards, Project Folders, and Shared Calendars Review Regular, ConSales, and Project Orders Prepare Franchise Aging Reports for Regular, ConSales, and Project accounts Analyze and prepare freight and storage cost reports for senior management Confirm travel expenses are reviewed and ensure change orders are executed when required Provide financial data to the Controller in support of monthly financial reporting Work closely with the Sales team to obtain, document, and reconcile change orders against quotes and proposals Review, assemble, and prepare clear and concise Final Settlement Packages (project reconciliations) for customers in a timely manner Prepare pay requests and lien waivers for construction contracts Prepare LTO invoices for corporate accounts Support special projects assigned by the Accounting department as needed Qualifications Minimum 5 years of accounting experience , preferably in construction or distribution Experience with both Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) NetSuite experience preferred Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability and willingness to learn new systems Maturity, common sense, and commitment to teamwork Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a desire to serve internal and external customers Preferred Experience Construction project accounting Distribution or multi-location business environments Financial reconciliation and project close-out processes Work Environment On-site, in-office position Collaborative, team-oriented accounting and sales environment Benefits Medical Dental Vision 401K Employee Assistance CHAMILOS Express Office: Champaign 1001 North Mattis Avenue Champaign, IL 61821
