The University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria (UICOMP)
is seeking board-certified or board-eligible pediatric allergy and
immunology physicians to fill a full-time position in the
Department of Pediatrics Division of Pulmonology, Allergy and Sleep
Medicine.
The ideal candidate will have completed 3 years of pediatric
residency and 2 years fellowship in Allergy and Immunology. The
candidate will be BC/BE in Pediatrics and Allergy/Immunology and
will hold or must apply and obtain an Illinois physician's license.
The position includes teaching medical students and residents in
the department; provide in-patient and out-patient services for
patients at OSF Children's Hospital of Illinois at OSF Saint
Francis Medical Center, UICOMP's main clinical partner; the
opportunity to develop research activities related to asthma,
allergy and immunology; and perform other duties of a University
faculty member including committee assignments, curriculum
development and administration.

UICOMP is one of the three regional campuses of the University of
Illinois College of Medicine, one of the largest public medical
schools in the country. UICOMP's educational programs include 244
medical students and 300 residents/fellows in 21 different post
graduate programs. The Department of Pediatrics is one of the
largest departments at UICOMP. In collaboration with the OSF

Level IV NICU and a state-designated Pediatric Critical Care

existing resources through UICOMP and OSF Children's Hospital of

Duties & Responsibilities
Provide consultations, diagnostic and treatment services to
children with allergy and immunology related conditions.
Participate in enhancing the quality of allergy/immunology services
delivered at Children's Hospital of Illinois and the UICOMP
Department of Pediatrics.
Help to develop educational programs and activities for medical
students and residents in relation to pediatric allergy and
immunology.
Maintain a spirit of inquiry and scholarship in the activities of
the Allergy/Immunology Service.
Minimum Qualifications
MD/DO
Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pediatrics
Board Certified/Board Eligible in Allergy/Immunology
3 Years Pediatric Residency
2 Years of fellowship in allergy and immunology
Eligible for medical licensure in Illinois
