At Bickford, Everything we do revolves around our residents' happiness by meeting their specific Core Needs. The Kitchen Manager position is primarily responsible for the overall production, cleanliness and proper service of meals from the menu plan to residents and Bickford Family Members.

RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS

Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Order food, following Bickford's process, in a timely, cost-effective manner
  
• Ensure appropriate information is available to produce meals (i.e. production sheets, recipes, prep/pull sheets, week's extension menus, week-at-a-glance menus)
  
• Prepare meals following Bickford's menus, processes and expectations
  
• Serve food timely, at correct temperatures and appropriately plated
  
• Ensure Bickford's process is followed during meal service
  
• Interact with residents in the Dining Room during meals to enhance their dining experience
  
• Wash dishes, pots and pans following Bickford's dishwashing procedure
  
• Follow the Kitchen Daily Task Guide
  
• Utilize residents' Meal Order Information form to follow/track all resident physician ordered diets, allergies and preferences
  
• Maintain food service records in accordance with regulatory requirements and Bickford's policies
  
• Store food in accordance with regulatory requirements and Bickford's policies
  
• Ensure completion of the Kitchen Rotational Cleaning Schedule
  
• Ensure kitchen and dining room meet regulatory requirements and Bickford's expectations for cleanliness
  
• Ensure Bistro/Beverage Bar is stocked with appropriate refreshments
  
• Coordinate with marketing and life enrichment to ensure appropriate food/refreshments are provided for tours and events
  
• Participate in the Culinary / Themed Meal calls

  Qualifications:- High School Diploma or GED; or one year related experience
  - Willing to take additional training or education which may be required by specific states.
  - ServSafe, CPR and First Aid certifications required
  - A valid driver's license and a driving record that is consistent with Bickford's insurance carrier guidelines
  - Ability to handle multiple priorities- Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication- Competent in organizational, time management skills- Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills
