  • Oversees new center MSS training
  • Responsible for the supervision of the center MSS training program on an interim basis
  • Serves as trainer and coach for MSS staff in BioLife Plasma Services Network
  • Provides assistance to Center Management teams and BioLife University Training Department to achieve business goals. Incumbent will be familiar with regulations of the plasma collection industry and/or a manufacturing environment.ACCOUNTABILITIES
    • Perform duties associated with BioLife Plasma Center Training (including but not limited to): (70%)
      • Monitors and ensures New Center training proceeds according to goals
      • Provides support and coaching to center MSS Team. Serves as interim MSS Trainer as needed.
      • Works closely with the Training & Development department, center management, and Regional Management teams to communicate center/employee needs as they relate to training.
      • Design, develop, implement, and deliver specific training and development initiatives to meet needs of trainees
      • Maintains complete and accurate records to ensure that all personnel are competent to perform their assigned duties.
      • Reviews employee training materials to meet initial certification requirements.
      • Ensures that employees are trained and committed to meet customer service expectations.
      • Works closely with the Facility Manager, QMR and management team to communicate center/employee needs as they relate to training.
      • Communicates regularly with the Center Manager to ensure compliance with training requirements and that adequate support is provided to employees in the work area.
      • Assist with Center Training Assessments by conducting informal audits/reviews
      • Prepares reports for assessments and keeps Training Department appraised of center training and operational issues
      • Supports BioLife University Training Department. (20%)
        • Utilize technical training to assist the Training and Development Department with new center-relevant initiatives

          • Maintain certification to train on and perform required duties (including, but not limited to) the following roles: (10%)
            • Donor Eligibility
            • All required duties in the area of Medical History
            • Assists EHS program as required per SOPs or as requested by the EHS ManagerDIMENSIONS AND ASPECTSTechnical/Functional (Line) Expertise
              • Currently licensed or certified in the state where duties will be assigned: Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Nurse Practitioner (NP).
              • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification required
              • Fulfillment of state requirements (in state of licensure) for basic IV therapy

                      • Attend staff meetings and other team meetings as required.

                        • Supports the center management team in identifying operational opportunities for continuous improvement, initiating changes to center processes as needed, through use of company approved procedures (including but not limited to 5S, Value Stream Mapping and Kaizen).
                        • May be responsible to support and conduct other projects as assigned by BioLife University
                        • Supports BioLife University and center management teams in identifying operational opportunities for continuous improvement, initiating changes to center processes as needed, through use of company approved procedures (including but not limited to BioLife OE Processes).Complexity
                          • Maintain general cleanliness of work area and assist other work areas as needed to ensure a clean and professional environment.EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
                            • Graduate of a recognized educational program
                            • Bachelor's Degree preferred
                            • Hold an active RN, LPN, or NP license. Residence in an Enhanced Nursing Licensure Compact state preferred.
                            • Willingness and ability to fulfill state requirements/licensing where appropriate, which may include additional classes or certifications
                            • Must be a qualified Medical Support Specialist preceptor per BTTP requirements
                            • Travel Required - Up to 95%
