Overview:

Welcome to Stepdown Care! Stepdown is also known as Intermediate Care. We treat patients for Strokes, Seizures, Pre and post-op Neuro & surgical pt's, Trauma's, Respiratory disease/distress, Alcohol/drug withdrawals, COPD, CHF, End of life care, GI Bleeds, Palliative Care, Vented trach'd patients, renal disease, etc. We have a great team that works together and it is a great place to get new experiences.

Eligible for a $3000 Sign On Bonus with a 2-year work commitment

Starting pay for this position is $17.85/hour; base pay offered may increase based on experience.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) provides appropriate safe basic care to patients which includes taking vital signs, assisting patients with activities of daily living, specimen collection, and observation of patients for physical/emotional changes. Other duties include recording pertinent information in patient charts, communicating with other Patient Care Team members to ensure continuity of care, and may function in a role providing constant supervision to patients as needed. Duties may vary according to department expectations and needs.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

CNA-Certified Nurses Assistant
CPR American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or GED Experience
Six months experience in a clinical healthcare environment
Six months experience in supporting physical, emotional and psycho-social needs of patients
