Experience: --- 12 months of Acute Care Float Pool experience is required. --- Experience with Epic is preferred. Requirements: --- Candidates must have a Illinois license in hand at the time of application. --- This role may require floating to additional units and locations --- Candidates must live at least 50 miles away from this facility in order to be considered a traveler when applying for this role. --- COVID vaccination required for onboarding. Religious and medical declinations accepted. Pre-employment modules may be required for this role. Additional Information: 36 guaranteed hours per week Scheduling: Expected to work every other weekend, every other holiday where applicable. No Call. All nurses in department are Gen Med competencied and therefore may be asked to float to any Gen Med unit throughout hospital. Travelers Float First Block booking and Schedule patterns are based on department needs. General medical Level of Care experience preferred. All RN's are competencied to general medical nursing. 2 years Med/surg experience required Dress Code: No childish scrub characters, as we are an adult unit. Travelers will have 1st day Epic training and HealthStream work, then will receive 2 12-hr. shifts with unit preceptor. The job incumbent is required to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the unit. This requires that the incumbent demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development as well as the physical, emotional and psycho-social needs of the patient population served.

• Work requires a professional level of knowledge of nursing practice and theory at a level that gen-er ally can be acquired by completion and graduation from an accredited School of Nursing. Reporting to the Short Stay Unit and Discharge Hospitality Center Unit Patient Care Manager and according to department policies/nursing care stan dards, functions as a member of the Patient Care Team to provide professional nursing care services to patients admitted, transferred, and discharged from OSF Saint Francis Medical Center. In doing so, the Team RN will demonstrate the knowledge and skills to provide patient care that is appropriate to the ages of the patients served (ages 16 through adult). Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care provided to assigned patients. Registered Professional Nurses at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center and Children's Hospital of Illinois are licensed professionals empowered to participate in an interdisciplinary approach to meet the expectations of those we serve. BLS must be AHA Certifications: --- BLS (Basic Life Support)
