Experience: --- 12 months of role experience is required from any number of months. --- 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience is required from last 3 years. --- Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months. Requirements: --- Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission). --- This role may require floating to additional units and locations --- Local & travel allowed. Candidates living --- Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted. Pre-employment modules may be required for this role. Additional Details: Scheduling: Expected to work every other weekend, every other holiday where applicable. Block booking and Schedule patterns are based on department needs. 36 guaranteed hours Types of patients: All Neuroscience. Neck and back spinal surgery, stroke, brain tumor, seizure, head injury, MS, Myasthenia Gravis, Peripheral neuropathy, encephalopathy, Spinal fractures, etc Required skills and minimum years of experience: Minimum required to travel Shift or schedule requirements: Every other weekend (Saturday / Sunday on Day Shift and either Friday / Saturday or Saturday / Sunday on night shift to follow unit patterns) Every other Holiday (Days holidays are: Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day. Nights holidays are: Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve, Memorial Day Eve, the 3rd of July Nights, and Labor day Eve) Floating to other units/departments: Could float to another gen/med unit (Nephrology, Oncology, Ortho, Adult medical Surgical, Surgical, Rehab, Cardiac 5 G) These are all general medical units that any of our staff could float to. Dress Code: Scrubs- no certain colors, just matching and professional, tattoos and nose rings covered while on duty 1 reference from last 12 months (Manager/Supervisor reference type) - required for submission 1 reference from last 3 years (Any reference type) - required for submission Proof of identification required Certifications: --- BLS (Basic Life Support) --- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
