Experience: --- 24 months of role experience is required from any number of months. --- 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience is required from last 3 years. --- Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months. Requirements: --- Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission). --- This role may require floating to additional units and locations --- Local & travel allowed. Candidates living --- Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted. Pre-employment modules may be required for this role. Additional Details: Scheduling: Expected to work every other weekend, every other holiday where applicable. Block booking and Schedule patterns are based on department needs. Guaranteed hours: 36 Every other weekend (Saturday / Sunday on Day Shift and either Friday / Saturday or Saturday / Sunday on night shift to follow unit patterns); Every other Holiday (Days holidays are: Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day. Nights holidays are: Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve, Memorial Day Eve, the 3rd of July Nights, and Labor day Eve) Floating: There are no contracts for Agency RN's that limit or make exemptions for floating Dress Code: Scrubs, any color Floating: Inpatient (ICU, Step Down, Tele, Med-Surg) External Agency nurses will float prior to Core nurses floating; External Agency Nurses are competent to float: Med-Surg nurses can float to like level of care units with full assignments Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program. 2 with preceptor, plus one 12 hour shift for EPIC and professional orientation and with unit educator 1 reference from last 12 months (Manager/Supervisor reference type) - required for submission 1 reference from last 3 years (Any reference type) - required for submission Proof of identification required Certifications: --- BLS (Basic Life Support)
