Job Description:
A cancer center in Bridgeport, West Virginia, is seeking a
board-certified hematologist/oncologist for locum tenens coverage.
The role is clinic-based with some inpatient rounding, managing
approximately 15 patients daily in the clinic and around 5
inpatient cases. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5
p.m., with lighter Fridays (clinic until noon) and a 1:4 call
ratio. The team includes 3 other medical oncologists, APPs, RNs,
and support staff. Candidates must be BC in Medical Oncology, with
prescriptive authority, and willing to obtain WV licensure. The
site uses Epic EMR and has a 60-day credentialing process.
Assignment dates are from December ongoing, with 1-2 new consults
daily, focusing on adult patients. This is an inpatient/outpatient
role requiring day shifts and on-call coverage.
