Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Physicist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 07/28/2025 - Duration: 52 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Local Contract Perm - Medical Physicist - Radiation Oncology Davenport, IA - MS or PhD in Radiology/Radiological Sciences - REQUIRED - US Board Eligible (with plans to become Board Certified) or Board Certified in Medical Physics by American Board of Radiology (ABR) or American Board of Medical Physics (ABMP) - REQUIRED - Must be or be willing to become registered in Iowa as a Radiation Therapy Physicist - REQUIRED - IA license (or willing to obtain) - REQUIRED - Clean Malpractice history - REQUIRED Job Description:/nFull-time: 40 hours per week./nOn-call schedule/ratio: 1:2./nNo weekend schedule./nDesired start date: ASAP/nPractice setting: Clinic/nProvide safe therapeutic radiological physics to the Radiation Oncology Department/nEnsure equipment safety, quality patient care, and participate in teaching in accordance with regulatory agencies and medical community standards. Genesis offers SRS, SBRT, IMRT, DIBH, gaiting, SGRT, and 3D Conformal./nGenesis offers SRS, SBRT, IMRT, DIBH, gaiting, SGRT, and 3D Conformal./nCancer Institute employs 2 linear accelerators: TomoTherapy Hi-Art and Varian TrueBeam. Record and verify performed through Aria. Eclipse and Tomoplan software used for planning./nAlong with participating in treatment procedures, the Medical Physicist will participate in patient-specific QA, chart QA, linear accelerator QA, plan checks, and any additional support needed by our Radiation Oncologists, Dosimetrists and therapists. /nTeam includes 2 Physicists, 2 Dosimetrists, 8 Radiation Therapists, 3 RNs, 2 Office Secretaries, 1 Billing and Coding Coordinator, 1 Social Worker, and 1 Office Manager.
