- Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is
seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU night shift
position requiring an IL RN license and Level 1 trauma experience.
Responsibilities - Position is in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care
Unit (CVICU) of a hospital - Night shift schedule from 7:00pm to
7:30am, three 12-hour shifts per week - Patient care involves
critically ill cardiovascular patients, including those requiring
advanced interventions - Epic EMR experience is required - Patient
population includes Level 1 Trauma cases - Provide evidence-based
patient care using the nursing process, protocols, and procedures -
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and
implement individualized care plans - Adapt teaching strategies to
meet patient and family education needs using the SVI patient
education system and other hospital resources - Participate in
performance improvement and quality initiatives on the unit - Must
complete all required documentation, including shift reports and
event reports - RTO may not exceed 7 days per 13-week contract -
Contingent workers may not be continuously assigned for more than
one year and must take a 6-month break before possible return - No
travel partners accepted for this position Requirements - Active
Illinois RN license or compact RN license accepted - Minimum of one
year of relevant RN experience required - Current BLS and ACLS
certifications from the American Heart Association - Demonstrated
Level 1 Trauma experience - Epic charting system experience is
required - Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required - Must live at
least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
