Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Med/Surg night
shift position requiring IL RN licensure, Epic charting, and Level
1 trauma experience. Responsibilities - Work in the Cardiac
Med/Surg unit of a hospital - Patient population includes those
requiring cardiac and general medical-surgical care - Night shifts
from 7:00pm to 7:30am, three 12-hour shifts per week - Epic EMR
experience required and utilized in daily operations - Level 1
trauma environment - Participate in an interdisciplinary team to
deliver evidence-based patient care - Develop and update
individualized patient care plans and evaluate outcomes - Obtain
and perform bedside lab tests and quality control when required -
Provide teaching to patients and families adapted to their learning
needs - Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate care
from admission to discharge - Must not have worked continuously at
the facility for more than 1 year without a 6-month break - Maximum
of 7 days of requested time off allowed during a 13-week contract -
No travel partners accepted for this assignment Requirements -
Active Illinois RN license in good standing; temporary licenses
accepted - Current American Heart Association BLS certification -
Minimum of one year of relevant nursing experience in a Med/Surg or
similar setting - Epic charting experience required - Level 1
trauma nursing experience required - Associate degree in Nursing
(ASN) required; BSN preferred - Must live more than 50 miles from
the facility (no locals permitted) - Proficient in English
communication, computer use, and independent decision-making
