Job Description American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN for a
day shift Admit/Discharge unit role requiring Epic and Level 1
trauma experience. Responsibilities - Position is based on an
Advance Care Unit within a hospital setting - Primary
responsibilities involve admitting and discharging patients on a
Med/Surg unit - Care for a diverse medical-surgical patient
population with acute and chronic conditions - Shift schedule is
7:00 am to 7:30 pm, three 12-hour day shifts per week - Epic EMR
experience is required - Level 1 trauma hospital environment -
Perform rapid assessment, plan of care development, and
modification based on patient status - Obtain and process
laboratory specimens, including bedside testing as ordered -
Educate patients and families using the SVI patient education
system - Participate in unit-based performance improvement and
quality initiatives - Adhere to hospital policies and National
Patient Safety Goals - RTO (requested time off) not to exceed 7
days per 13-week contract - No travel partners will be accepted for
this assignment - Returning travelers must take a 6-month break
after 1 continuous year on assignment at any facility in the health
system Requirements - Active IL RN license or temporary license is
required - Current BLS certification is mandatory - Minimum of one
year relevant nursing experience is required - Epic charting system
experience required - Experience in a Level 1 trauma setting
required - Must have a college diploma in nursing - Candidates must
reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are
