Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/24/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an RN with an active IL license and recent cardiac med/surg and trauma experience for a night shift position. Responsibilities - Work in a hospital cardiac med/surg unit providing care to adult patients - Night shift schedule from 7:00pm to 7:30am, three 12-hour shifts per week - Unit serves patients with cardiac medical and surgical needs - Uses Epic EMR and previous Epic experience is required - Unit supports interdisciplinary care with collaboration among healthcare professionals - Contribute to patient care planning, assessment, intervention, and evaluation as part of the interdisciplinary team - Perform bedside laboratory testing and quality control per provider orders and hospital policy - Promote evidence-based practice and professional development - RTO (requested time off) is limited to 7 days per 13 week contract - Returning travelers may not exceed one year of continuous assignment and must take a six-month break before returning - No travel partners permitted Requirements - Active Illinois RN license, including temporary licenses - Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association - Minimum of one year relevant nursing experience in a hospital setting - Experience with Level 1 trauma is required - Epic charting experience is required - Associate's degree in nursing (ASN) required; BSN preferred - Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (no locals allowed) Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-628595.
