Registered Nurse (RN) | Med/Surg / Orthopedic Location: Peoria, IL Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,290 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Ortho RN in Peoria, Illinois, 61637! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Orthopedics Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active Illinois RN License required Certifications: BLS (AHA) Must-Have: Postoperative surgical care and general medical-surgical care experience Description: We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for our Orthopedic unit. The position includes 12-hour night shifts with a rotation on weekends and holidays. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5-6 during night shifts. The unit consists of 43 private rooms. Common diagnoses include a variety of medical-surgical postoperative orthopedic cases and trauma cases with fractures. A primary charge nurse will be present each shift. House supervisors are available 24/7. Patient care technicians are available with a ratio of 1:7-8. Registered Nurses will troubleshoot equipment such as CPAP and heated high flow. Telemetry monitors are utilized throughout the unit. RNs are required to read their own telemetry strips. The dress code allows any color scrubs, and professional appearance is required. All tattoos and piercings must be covered. Unit-specific orientation will be provided.
