Wound Care - Cerner experience required Description: Position
available for a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse. The role
involves working night shifts from 18:00 to 06:30. The average
daily patient census is 35. Weekend work is required every other
weekend. Floating to meet department needs is expected. Candidates
must have strong Med/Surg experience. Required skills include
telemetry remote monitoring and rapid response team use. Experience
in colostomy care and feeding tube management is essential. Skills
in pre and post hemodialysis management and renal failure expertise
are necessary. Candidates should be proficient in accessing ports,
administering blood products, and managing central lines.
Medication management skills required include Heparin, Insulin, and
PCA. Experience with respiratory care such as CPAP, BiPAP, and
tracheostomy management is a must. Knowledge of isolation
precautions and wound care is essential. This is an acute care
setting with interdisciplinary support available. The facility has
a variety of medical diagnoses including CHF, sepsis, UTI, and
more. Special procedures include foot and leg amputations and
dialysis. Additional responsibilities entail proper documentation
via Cerner. Candidates must adhere to scheduling requirements,
which prefer minimal prior time off requests. The role requires
commitment through the full assignment duration with no attendance
