Cynet Health to find a qualified Oncology RN in Springfield,
Illinois, 62781! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing
Specialty: Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per
Shift: 12 hours (18:45 - 07:15) Experience: Minimum 1 year
required; first-timers accepted. License: Must have active Illinois
license in hand or be in application process to apply.
Certifications: Chemotherapy certification preferred. Must-Have: -
Administration of chemotherapy - Management and disposal of
cytotoxic spills - Monitoring chemotherapy Description: Position
available for an Oncology/MS RN. Shift options include 3x12 or 4x12
nights. Average daily census is 24 with 24 rooms/beds. Candidates
will work every other weekend. Chemo certification is preferred,
along with OCN and ONS/ONCC certifications. No on-call requirement.
Floating may be required within the scope to meet facility needs.
Schedule requests are to be discussed with management. Locals are
accepted with no radius requirements. Ideally, there should be no
more than 5 days of requested time off. Candidates may be called
off up to 36 hours per assignment without payment for canceled
hours. Special requirements include administration of various
chemotherapy types and IV therapy skills. Patient population
includes adults and geriatrics. Daily patient load is approximately
24, with mixed oncology diagnoses. This role involves
interdisciplinary support from various services. Chemotherapy
administration is the primary focus of the unit. Experience with
trauma levels I and II is preferred but not required. Candidates
must be able to secure housing and complete all compliance needs in
a timely manner. Consideration will be given to the ability to
