Job Description American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Bloomington, Illinois. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Labor and Delivery - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/02/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in an acute setting with Level II nursery and Epic charting experience required. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Work in an acute care alternate birthing center with LDRP rooms - Labor, delivery, postpartum, and nursery (Level II) patient population - 12 LDRP rooms, 2 triage rooms, approximately 700 deliveries per year - Nurse-to-patient ratios follow AWHONN guidelines: 1:1 labor, 1:3 couplet - Use of Obix EFM system with Phillips monitors and CPAP for Level II nursery - Epic EMR utilized on the unit - 12-hour night shifts, 7p-7:30a - Every other weekend required with alternating holiday coverage - Floating required hospital-wide for tasks or team nursing as needed - Hospital provided scrubs - Primary responsibilities include skilled nursing care for labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn (Level II) patients - Support staff includes OB techs and unit secretaries; charge RN on each shift does not take a patient assignment - Neonatologist is in-house 24/7; respiratory therapy assists with CPAP setup - Unit-specific orientation is provided (2-3 shifts depending on experience) - Travel nurses are required to float and participate in team nursing as needed - No call or standby requirements - COVID vaccine is not required - Local candidates are accepted, but specific rates apply for those living within 50 miles /n /n Requirements/n - Active IL RN license required at time of consideration - Minimum 2 years’ recent labor & delivery experience required - Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required and must be active - Experience with all aspects of LDRP and newborn nursery preferred - Familiarity with Epic charting system preferred /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-658322.
