to find a qualified Neuro RN in Decatur, Illinois, 62526! Job
Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical

Must have active state license to apply Certifications: BLS and
NIHSS required Description: Position / Specialty: Medical Surgical
Neuro RN Shift: 4x12 or 3x12 Nights Average Daily Census: 32
First-timers accepted: No Weekend Requirement: Will work every
other weekend On-call Requirement: No Will float as needed to meet
facility needs. Open to accommodating block schedule; discuss
schedule requests with manager. Local candidates accepted; no
radius restriction. Requested Time Off Restrictions: Ideally no
more than 5 days. Client may cancel up to 36 hours per 13-week
assignment without paying for the canceled hours. If more hours are
canceled than permitted, billing for additional shifts will occur.
If placed on-call instead of being called off, it will count as a
canceled shift. Required Work Setting Experience: Medical/Surgical.
Required Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency Response Skills:
Telemetry Required Gastrointestinal Case Skills: Colostomy care,
Feeding tube care and management. Required IV Therapy/Phlebotomy
Skills: Accessing ports, blood product administration, central line
blood draw, peripheral line care and management, PICC line
management, starting IVs. Required Medication Experience: Heparin,
Insulin, PCA. Required Neurological/Psychiatric Case Skills: CVA,
Pre/Post Neuro Surgery, Spinal cord injuries, Traumatic Brain
injury. Experience with surgical drains required. Required
Respiratory Case Skills: Chest tubes, CPAP/BiPAP, Nasal Cannula,
Non-invasive airway management, Oral suctioning, Oxygen
administration, Pre/Post Thoracic Surgery, Tracheostomy management.
Required Professional Knowledge and Skills: Isolation precautions,
wound care, wound vac. Continuous bladder irrigation experience
required. Experience with electronic medical records system
required. Teaching hospital experience preferred. Trauma Level II
experience preferred. Type of Facility: Acute Care Hospital. Total
Staffed Beds: 372. Scrub Color: Royal blue. Patient Age Groups:
Adults, Geriatrics. Daily Census: 32. Number of Rooms: 43. Number
of Beds: 43. Interdisciplinary Support: IV Teams, Physical Therapy,
Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy,
Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy,
Transportation, Unit Secretary. Patient Diagnoses: Neuro. Attention
Recruiters: All candidates must complete compliance needs in a
timely manner. Candidates must complete the full assignment without
attendance or behavior issues. Floating is required of all staff;
candidates will float within the facility or to nearby affiliates.
Candidates must work two out of three major holidays. 18 months of
experience required, with exceptions made depending on the unit.
Must have state license in hand at time of application. Background
policy noted prior to submission for approval. Lab appointments and
badge photos must be completed in a timely manner. Non-clinical
hours may vary; clinical module hours may vary. Strict module
deadlines must be adhered to. Modules must be completed by
designated deadline on the first day of assignment. First day of
