Registered Nurse (RN) | Registered Nurse First Assistant Location: Peoria, IL Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $3,506 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse First Assistant Profession: RNFA Specialty: Surgery - General (Major) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 8 hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Active state RN license required Certifications: First Assistant Certification, BLS Must-Have: Experience in robotic and open surgical procedures, familiarity with firing staplers, scrubbing required Description: The role involves assisting the surgeon during various general surgery procedures. Common cases include robotic colon surgery, hernias, gastric sleeves, gastric bypasses, and cholecystectomies. The schedule is Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with on-call requirements depending on physician needs. The average number of cases per day is between 40 to 60. Surgical technologists are present to assist in the operating room. Charge Nurse and House Supervisor roles are available for support. The electronic medical record system used is Epic. Candidates must be able to respond to calls within 30 minutes. There is no weekend or holiday requirement. Dress code includes provided scrubs.
