MedSurg Registered Nurse – Nights Location: Peoria, IL Schedule:
Full-time, Nights (12-hour shifts, 7:00–7:30) Position Overview We
are seeking a dedicated and skilled MedSurg Registered Nurse to
join a 10-bed Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) unit in Peoria, IL. This
role is ideal for nurses who excel in caring for medically complex
patients and want to grow their critical-thinking skills in a
supportive, team-centered environment. Nurses with 3 years of
experience are preferred; however, candidates with 1 year of
experience — and new graduates on a case-by-case basis — will be
considered. Compensation & Incentives - Hourly Pay: $32.61 – $49.28
- Shift Differential: - Nights: $4.00/hour - Weekend: $3.25/hour -
Sign-On Bonus: - $15,000 for new graduates - $20,000 for nurses
with 1 years of experience Unit Details - Unit Type: MedSurg (LTAC)
- Number of Beds: 10 - Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:5 - Support Staff:
Nurse Aides/PCTs available (1:10) - House Supervisor: Available
24/7 Patient Population Nurses on this unit care for high-acuity,
medically complex patients, including: - Respiratory failure -
Post-surgical patients - Wound care needs - IV antibiotic therapy -
Post-trauma - Post-CVA - Cardiac patients Required Skills &
Experience Certifications: - BLS required - ACLS preferred (not
required) Must-Have Clinical Skills: - PEG tube care & feedings -
CVC/PICC/Midline usage and care - Tracheostomy care - Ability to
titrate drips Respiratory Equipment Exposure: - Vents, CPAP, BiPAP,
and High Flow - Respiratory Therapy manages respiratory equipment;
RNs troubleshoot as needed Telemetry: - Housewide tele packs - Tele
monitored by centralized Monitor Techs in ICU Medical Solutions
