Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/09/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview - Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs - Hours: 36 hrs/wk - Start Date: Mar 9, 2026 - Length: 13 weeks - Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Med/Surg position on a night shift schedule, requiring Epic EMR experience and a minimum of one year of nursing experience. Details - Hospital medical unit (7C Med/Resp) setting - Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM - 36 hours per week, three 12-hour shifts per day - Epic EMR experience required Requirements - Active IL RN license in good standing required (temp license accepted) - BLS certification required (American Heart Association) - Minimum 1 year of relevant RN experience required - Epic EMR experience required - Level 1 Trauma experience required - Associate's degree (ASN) required; BSN preferred - English proficiency required (speak, read, write) Additional Information - Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted - RTO may not exceed 7 days for the duration of the 13-week contract - Contingent workers may not remain on assignment for more than 1 year continuously at this health system; a 6-month break in service is required before returning to any location within the health system - Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, nursing interventions, documentation, and continuous plan-of-care evaluation - Collaborative role involving communication with the broader healthcare team and contribution to peer development American Traveler Job ID P-671195.
