LanceSoft is seeking a travel nurse RN Orthopedics for a travel nursing job in Peoria, Illinois. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Orthopedics - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/30/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job & Shift Unit SFMC - Orthopedic (6 Ortho) Unit Type Orthopedics Division Nursing Care Setting Acute Shift Length 12 Guaranteed Hours 36 hours per week Years of Experience 2 Years License to Submit Yes BSN Required No Orientation Hours 12 Hours Required Certifications BLS (AHA) Shift Notes 12 REQUIREMENTS FOR SUBMISSION: - Last four (4) digits of clinician's SSN - Clinician's middle initial - Requested time off - Active IL license or confirmation that application process has been initiated - Your candidate understands OSF is a Drug-Free Campus and they must produce a negative drug screen for all panels Department: Orthopedic | RN - Beds: 43 all private rooms. - Nurse: Patient Ratios: 1:4-5 on 12 hr days and 1:5-6 12 hr nights. - Required certifications: BLS. - Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Wide variety medical surgical, postoperative orthopedic case, trauma case with fractures. - Experience or 'Must have' skills: Postop surgical care and general med surg care; we like 1-2 years clinical experience. - Is there a Charge Nurse &/or House Supervisor on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?: Yes primary charge RN each shift. House supervisor 24/7. - Are there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit? Ratios? Duties?: PCT's 1:7-8. - RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, Bipap, High Flow, etc.): Are RNs required to do anything with these besides trouble shoot?: We have CPAP, heated high flow as needed. - Are there tele/monitor techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors?: We have house wide telemetry pack monitors. Phillips monitors. - Shifts & Scheduling: 12's for travel staff. - Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend day shift is sat/sun night shift is fri/sat. - Is there Call or a Standby requirement?: No. - Floating Requirements: Travel RN's are first to float if needed, this happens occasionally - to other like MedSurg floors. - Scrub Color/Dress Code/Scrubs provided?: Any color of scrubs, adult professional appearance, tattoos and piercings must be covered. - Unit/Department specific orientation: Two.
