Histotechnologist / Histology Technicians
The right candidate will have good decision-making skills, the
ability to work independently, and have current
certification.Histotechnologist: Prepares specimens and performs
testing procedures on pathology specimens that results in the
creation of microscopic slide preparations for diagnostic and/or
prognostic analysis by the pathology. Applies technical theory to
provide overall operations support necessary to maintain and
optimize testing activities.Histology Technician: Performs a
variety of technical procedures that result in the creation of
microscopic slide preparations. These technical procedures may
include: accessioning specimens; specimen processing and microtomy
techniques; paraffin, frozen, and plastic. Technical staining
procedures include: routine Hematoxylin and Eosin, special stains,
immunofluorescence, immunohistochemical staining, and in situ
hybridization. Actively participates in outstanding customer
service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships
that are equally respectful to all.
