Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other
duties may be assigned.
Under the direct guidance of Plant Supervisor, responsible for the
daily scheduling of preventive maintenance, monitoring production
inventories including supplies, spare parts and inventory items.
Ensure that products are shipped conforming to specifications and
Responsible for the daily oversite of the plant and personnel,
providing lead level oversight of other hourly personnel, assigning
and scheduling work tasks, maintaining productivity and efficiency
of the work force, enforcing company safety and conduct policies,
and reporting areas of concern to management.
Responsible for the daily oversight of freight and shipping.
Inventory management and production planning and product shipment
scheduling of daily, weekly and delivery schedules.
Process plant specific purchasing requirements utilizing RPOs and
including petty cash and the purchasing card. Ensure that monies
collected from cash sales are sent to the Corporate lock box.
General Reporting: Responsible for preparing production and quality
reports (weekly, monthly, annually) co-prepare environmental
reports (quarterly and annually), prepare safety reports,
documentation of maintenance activity, and other miscellaneous
Security: Maintain and monitor security of the plant site, office
facilities, mobile equipment, finished goods and company funds
(purchase orders, branch checks, and petty cash).
Works in the plant as plant operator or production worker as needed
on daily basis.
Knowledge and Skills
Sound knowledge of manufacturing plant operations. Up to 80% of
time spent working on tasks outside office environment with direct
exposure to seasonal weather conditions, noise, dust and dirt. Must
have skills to work on plant equipment when needed, be able to
properly operate a forklift and front-end loader. Must be capable
of climbing 10 flights of stairs, carrying 50lbs, standing for up
to 8 hours a day, and able to walk up to 50% of work day. Sharp
vision skills required. Must have fundamental office equipment
skills to operate personal computer and software, calculator and
Education And Work Experience
High School or equivalent.
This job has indirect supervisory responsibilities, in absence of
Plant Management personnel. No hiring or firing, or disciplinary
decisions or implementation
