OverviewPay range for this position is $32.83 - $48.76/hour.
Actual pay is based on years of licensure.POSITION SUMMARY: Reports
to the OSF INI Director, Clinical Systems of Care and supports the
Ministry Medical Director of Stroke and local Medical Director for
Stroke. Contributes to program growth and development to measure
success and achieve outcomes. The stroke coordinator oversees and
facilitates all aspects of the stroke center certification and
works to educate Mission Partners in the care and documentation of
the stroke patient. The stroke coordinator also serves as a
resource and support to Ministry hospitals in the region for
educational needs and outreach if needed. Serves a liaison between
stroke program and hospital departments. Fosters and maintains
positive relations among affiliated network hospitals and medical
centers, physicians, medical center personnel and external agencies
to ensure appropriate design and promotion of programs. The stroke
coordinator is an integral part of the Ministry wide stroke program
and will work collaboratively with other service line stroke
coordinators and physician directors both in the region and across
the system.This position offers a flexible work schedule where
hours may range between 6-10 hours each day. This position will
require weekend coverage but not likely both days, and the weekend
shift is shorter than a weekday shift. There will be some job
sharing with overlaping responsibilities in this role.
QualificationsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience:2 years' work
experience in neurosciences. Other skills/knowledge:Strong
interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate effectively
with health care providers and hospital management, both internally
and externally (region-wide), maintain a variety of contact on a
statewide basis, and deals with regional problems concerning stroke
care. Analytical abilities necessary to evaluate teaching and
educational programs, develop policies and procedures, and organize
and plan system.Licensure/Certification:Current CPRIL RN license
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of neurovascular medicine. Some
travel required- both regionally and outside of region for the
purpose of education, networking and system work.
