than 5% Position Type: Full-Time FLSA Status: Non-Exempt POSITION
SUMMARY: The main job of a Purchasing Coordinator is to create and
maintain meaningful liaison with vendors so as to assure constant
procurement of supplies. The Purchasing Coordinator coordinates the
activities involved with procuring goods and services for the
facility, and confers with production managers to determine the
amount and types of materials needed for a project and ensure that
they are delivered to the department or unit in a timely fashion.

Duties and Responsibilities:Generate Purchase Orders from Material
Requisitions and place orders with Vendors.Issue inventory parts
from StoreroomCheck for inventory material that he needs to be
reordered for stockLead daily inventory spot checks and monthly
cycles countsAssist with yearly inventory countBackup for
Purchasing AttendantBackup for Purchasing SupervisorReceiving in
Purchase Orders in JDEAssist with PO's and receipts of Raw Material
and occasionally packing suppliesObserve and practice safety
procedures at all times. Be safety conscious. Correct or notify
supervisor of safety hazards. In the event of an accident, notify
supervisor immediately. Attend Safety Meetings. SUPERVISORY
RESPONSIBILITY: Discuss defective or unacceptable products or
services with users and vendors to determine source of trouble and
take corrective actions.Liaison with accounting department to
reconcile invoices and purchase orders.Arrange for disposal of

School Diploma or equivalent work experienceProven history of
effective supply management3 years experience in purchasing role
Desired:Two-three years of experience in the mushroom industry,
food manufacturing, or a similar fast-paced production
