ROLE: We are seeking Growing Manager to lead our Production
Department. This role is responsible for ensuring the daily
functions of the operation are running smoothly, while also
ensuring production goals are met.Business Unit: Growing
DepartmentLocation: Princeton, ILReports To: General ManagerWork
Schedule: Generally Monday to FridayTravel Time %: Less than
5%Position Type: Full-TimeFLSA Status: ExemptCORE
RESPONSIBILITIES:Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety, and
morale to achieve positive results in all areas of the Production
DepartmentMonitor all expenses incurred; plan, develop, and control
the annual Growing Department budgetContinually review with Growing
and production hallway personnel, their performance requirements
and work together to create cost saving measures and/or ideas to
improve production and quality and to include accurate record
keeping relating to crop parameters, inventory, and raw materials
usages and deliveriesStay current with new technologies and trends
in the mushroom industryFoster effective and engaging communication
with all facility departments and within the company so as to reach
safety, production and quality goalsEnforce and comply with all
GMP/HACCP and Safety rules and regulations SECONDARY
RESPONSIBILITES:Manage Growing and Production Hallway Department
hiring, training, counseling, and promotionsAttend and/or conduct
meetings as requiredParticipate in training development courses
QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS:Good written and verbal communication
skillsStrong practical math skillsStrong computer skill, especially
pertaining to ExcelStrong financial and business skills Required:At
least 10 years of management or supervisory experienceOver 10 years
of combined mushroom production experienceDesired:BS in
Agricultural Science or related fieldBilingual English/Spanish
