Machinist / Lathe Operator Level 4 - East Peoria Undercarriage BB East Peoria, IllinoisCareer Area:Manufacturing & Supply ChainJob Description:We are currently seeking Lathe Operators in East Peoria, IL (Undercarriage Building BB). As a Lathe Operator, you will perform any necessary repair, alteration or adjustment of transportation and material moving equipment, including work on electrical, mechanical, chassis and body parts of such equipment. Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Overhaul engines and transmissions
• Rebuild generators and batteries
• Repair bodies and chassis, adjust brakes, align wheels, install glass, add special equipment and perform other similar repairs
• Use automobile mechanics' hand tools, cylinder and valve grinding machines, carpenter and body repairman tools, portable power tools, acetylene welding equipment, etc. Qualifications:
  • Previous machine shop experience
  • Ability to read/write and interpret documents in English Desired Qualifications:
    • Previous CNC experience
    • Awareness of Sort, Set, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain (5S) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
    • Good communication skills and strong commitment to safety and teamwork Additional Information:

      • Multiple shifts available (2nd and 3rd shift openings)
