Job Description Polysomnographic Technologist (Sleep Tech) --High
Risk Pediatric (OSF******) Works collectively with the Medical
Director, Manager, staff and patients to achieve optimal efficiency
and success in sleep disorder function testing and scoring.
Performs comprehensive sleep testing / analysis and associated
interventions under the general supervision of the sleep center
manager, medical director, or designee and provides supervision of
a polysomnographic trainee and polysomnographic technologist I. A
polysomnographic technologist II is credentialed in sleep
technology. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: High school
diploma or equivalent. Successful completion of an accredited
educational program with emphasis in polysomnography OR successful
transitioned into a polysomnographic technologist I AND
successfully obtained credentialing in sleep technology. American
Heart BLS certification. Registered in sleep technology through the
Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (BRPT)
(Registered Polysomnographic Technologist - RPSGT), the National
Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) (Sleep Disorders Specialty -
SDS), or the American Board of Sleep Medicine (ABSM) (Registered
