Job Description:

Our client in Marietta, GA is looking to bring on an Estimator to join their team at the junior level and advance quickly as the individual learns our client' s industry and nuances.


The role requires candidates can read interior blueprint documents to extract the necessary information to create the takeoff. Work is being produced with Bluebeam or Planswift

Required:

• 3 Years Estimator Experience in construction field for commercial projects
• Bachelor or Associates Degree (Construction Management preferred) or similar work experience.
• Digital Take off Software (Planswift or Bluebeam)
  Job Duties:
  
  • Preliminary review of construction plans for size, scope and feasibility.
  • Preform takeoffs on plans ranging from SD sketches to full CD drawings.
  • Prepare comprehensive bid summaries detailing costs for materials and labor.
  • Submit bids using in software platforms
  • Review and update bid schedule as bids are completed.
  • Provide a clean hand off to the project team after award.
  • Obtains bids from vendors and subcontractors; identifying qualified subcontractors.
  • Maintain unit cost records for bidding purposes from vendors.
  • Resolve cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information as the project progresses.
  • Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
    Job details:
    This role will obtain the request for bid for Projects as they come into the firm. They will be filed into the proper bid folder and then start the process of extracting the data pertinent to their work (they will receive the entire interior design plan and need to pull out just the details that will be used by the company). Once this is completed, they will review the scope and import the details into Bluebeam or PlanSwift to prepare the Takeoff and put the estimate together.

    Pay: $23-30/hr. (Flexibility depending on experience)
