Job Title: Electrical EngineerDuration: 18 months contract with possible extensionLocation: Peoria IL
Position's Contributions to Work GroupThe Sr. Electronic Components position develops, improves, and troubleshoots electrical hardware used in an array of engine and machine systems. This generally includes the development of product requirements, electronic component selection, schematic/layout development, and component verification and validation. Some or all of these activities may be performed in partnership with a supplier including the manufacturing plan and process development. This position performs analysis work, identifies design problems, and resolves them.
Typical Day**This is a hybrid role with some flexibility but does require majority of time to be onsite based on client needs.
A typical work day will involve requirements gathering (voice of client) discussions; liaising with suppliers and communicating those during product development and discussions with the supplier and lab technicians, project/validation planning, scheduling, and execution; close collaboration with global team members in China and India, and providing regular client and management updates.
Education Requirements:Requires a Bachelor's degree (prefer a Master's degree) in an accredited Engineering curriculum (Electrical, Mechatronics or Mechanical) and commensurate product development and project leadership experience. Will consider Master's or above applicable project/internship experience toward experience requirement.
Technical SkillsStrong electrical acumen, demonstrated analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
Soft Skills

• Ability to communicate technical information effectively. Self-starter.
