Overview
Global Shipping and Receiving Associate
AutonomouStuff is looking for an experienced Global Shipping and
Receiving Associate responsible for receiving inbound shipments,
preparing packages, and processing outbound shipments. The right
candidate will be extremely knowledgeable with domestic and
international shipping guidelines and regulations. Daily
responsibilities include coordinating a variety of shipping and
receiving functions such as receiving incoming shipments,
inspecting incoming material, and material storage. You will also
securely pack boxes and crates, ship packages globally, and verify
that the products arrive on time, to the right person and place.
Other responsibilities include coordinating all customs documents,
for clearance of shipments to be compliant with US and foreign
government regulations.

The Location: Hexagon is a global company with locations around the
world. This position is based in Morton, IL.
Responsibilities
As Global Shipping and Receiving Associate, you will:
* Receive and store raw materials and finished goods from
suppliers
* Perform incoming material inspections to ensure quality of
materials
* Create defect reports and supplier corrective action requests
* Assist with shipping/freight estimation and provide expertise for
shipping-related questions
* Effectively pack and ship parcels and pallets securely, to
minimize breakage
* Prepare shipping documents for various carriers in accordance
with Export Controls/Compliance requirements
* Manage all aspects of tracking shipments to ensure shipment is
moving as scheduled
* Resolve issues with couriers, including courier portal updates
and changes
* Ensure shipping and receiving related processes are adhered to
and transactions/records are accurate
* Provide excellent customer service via phone or e-mail
interaction with customers, vendors, customs, and freight
forwarders
Qualifications
Must-Have:
* High school diploma
* Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a Shipping and
Receiving role, preferably in a production environment
* Understand dimensions, weight, freight density, freight class
* Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office products
* Ability to bend, squat, climb and frequently lift 40 pounds
* Conduct operations in a manner which promotes safety

Nice-to-Have:
* Experience working in an ERP system
* Knowledge of supplier quality and supplier correction action
processes
* International shipping experience, and be familiar with Customs
Declaration and AES (Automated Export System)
* Understanding of Harmonized Tariff Schedule and export
licenses
* Experience in freight loss claims and disputes
