We pride ourselves on fostering an environment where we make a positive impact on others; upholding our beliefs in integrity, inclusion, and belonging.Your Impact Starts the Day You Do!What We Need:We are looking for a Group Leader to join our 2nd Shift HNI Workplace Furnishings Operations team. -What You Will Do:Organize team efforts to deliver KPI'sLead MDI discussion with team and ensure visual management is relevantWork with team on daily staffing requirements and manage changesMonitor progress to goals and communicate gapsDaily 5S and safety walksPartner with MCR for issues/concernsPartner with internal customers to achieve daily delivery/quality8D investigations to drive root cause for quality concernsComplete other standard work as neededWhat You're Good At:Team & relationship building - motivate and empower members on the team to achieve daily and breakthrough goalsConcise communication - members in this role must be able to clearly and quickly articulate issues and potential solutionsProblem solving - use lean tools and problem solving methods to build up members to become skilled problem solversChange agility - Group Leaders must be catalysts for change; members in this role will be looked upon to consistently and constantly react to changing needs, situations, and prioritiesResults driven - successful members in this role display a bias for action and desire to proactively address issuesWhat You Have:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Organizational/Business Management, or a related field preferred.1-3 years of direct labor supervision in manufacturing, distribution, retail, or customer service, with lean manufacturing experience strongly preferred.Why Join Us: -At HNI Corporation, your impact starts the day you do.
