Part Time- ADM Trucking High School Co-Op- Decatur, IL This is a part-time, hourly position. Qualifications Students must be at least 17 years old, a senior in High School, on track to graduate, maintain a cumulative 2.25 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) or higher and meet attendance requirements to be eligible for ADM’s 12-month Career Pathways program. In additional, one formal letter of recommendation is required to be considered for program entry. Upon selection into the program, students will be required to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and lift test administered per ADM policy/procedures. Summer 2026 Co-Op: June 2026 to July 2026 8 am – 4:30 pm Monday through Friday Fall 2026 High School Co-Op for Credit: August 2026 to December 2026 8am to 12pm or 12pm to 4:00pm Monday through Friday (1 hr flex) Spring 2027 High School Co-Op for Credit January 2027 to May 2027 8am to 12pm or 12pm to 4:00pm Monday through Friday (1 hr flex) Program Graduation Ceremony: May 2027 ADM Trucking is a food grade transportation company. Essential Job Functions – The individual is required to follow all government, company & customer policies and regulations. This includes but is not limited to FMCSA, OSHA, EPA, DOL & Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Restrictions: Under no circumstance will an intern be allowed to drive a motor vehicle or ride-along as a helper as part of their job. Interns are not allowed to perform any work prohibited by the Department of Labor (DOL) as described in the federal youth employment regulations including the DOL’s Hazardous Occupations Orders which prohibit minors to work with power-driven hoisting equipment (forklifts, skid-steers, backhoes, manlifts, etc.), power-driven chain saws or any cutting machinery, among others. Train to be a service mechanic on diesel trucks and trailers. Maintain good housekeeping of work area. Ability to troubleshoot Ability to follow SOPs Ability to recognize safety hazards Washbay Job Responsibilities: Maintains good housekeeping. Perform tractor and trailer washes Ability to follow instructions Ability to lift hoses Ability to walk on wet surfaces Ability to work at heights Job Requirements: Ideal candidate should possess strong people and problem solving skills with the ability to multi-task Possess excellent interpersonal skills, customer service skills, as well as a motivated personality with a willingness to take initiative Proficient in the use of a computer with experience using Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel preferred Must be able to hear and speak clearly; read, comprehend and communicate, orally and in writing in order to effectively communicate in person or by phone. Position requires standing for prolonged periods of time; sitting, bending, pushing, pulling, climbing a ladder, kneeling and operating a keyboard. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Students must adhere to high school attendance policy and also adhere to ADM’s attendance policy Ability to work well with others. Perform job tasks with a positive safety attitude PPE: Required safety items includes but is not limited to; safety glasses, steel-toed boots, gloves, hearing protection, high visibility vest, hair and beard nets, hard hat/bump caps, fall protection and LOTO items.
