Weekly Pay: $1990 - $2130 - Location: Peoria, IL 61637 (Central
Illinois healthcare jobs) - Unit: Nephrology – Medical Surgical
(Med/Surg RN) - Setting: Acute Care Hospital - Contract Length: 13
weeks (Start: 12/15/2025 – End: 3/16/2026) - Shift: 12-hour nights
(7:00pm – 7:00am), 3 shifts/week - Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per
week - Weekend/Holiday Rotation: Every other weekend and holiday -
Charting System: EPIC EMR - Orientation: 3 days with a preceptor
Registered Nurse Qualifications - Active Illinois RN license (or
proof of application for Illinois nursing license) - BLS
certification (AHA required) - Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN
experience - General medical background required; nephrology or
urology nursing experience preferred - Strong teamwork,
communication, and dependability - Willingness to float to other
general medical units as needed Med/Surg RN Responsibilities -
Deliver direct patient care to nephrology patients, including those
with ESRD, AKI, on dialysis, transplant recipients, and general
medical overflow - Manage a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6 during
night shifts - Participate in bedside reporting and hourly rounding
for optimal patient outcomes - Collaborate with charge nurses,
house supervisors, and patient care technicians - Administer
medications and treatments as prescribed - Document all care in the
EPIC electronic medical record system - Promote a safe, positive,
and patient-centered healthcare environment - Comply with hospital
dress code (any color scrubs; no artificial nails, visible tattoos,
